First, the world was peaceful.

But then, the world WAS peaceful.

And then, the world simply just... was.

Ever since most of us could remember, our leaders had always solved our problems as peacefully as humanly possible. Every country, republic, empire, state, you name it, were always cooperative with each other and openly exchanging thoughts and opinions. Any issue that presented itself was quickly dispersed of and swept underneath the carpet. No one had to worry about conflicts disruptions or even war.

There hadn't been a major war since World War II. That was over one hundred years ago. No one on the Earth truly knew what it felt like to be in a war with the world, and no one was on the Earth to tell us how to prevent one. Somehow, we just did. Every time a group of countries was on the verge of war, it was averted at last second in some way or another. That's just how everything seemed to work our peaceful society.

And then, I came along. It was an accident. Actually, it was a mistake, really. Of course, it certainly wasn't my intention to start a new world war, and it certainly wasn't my fault that it happened either. To the world it was known as, "The Incident." It changed the world. All peace, all cooperation, all trust was gone, just like that. It scared the hell out of me. My life changed forever.

I thought things changed after "The Incident." I thought things couldn't get any worse than they were.

And then, two men showed up in my bedroom.
