And then there's school. Well school is school. Loaded with a the different 'groups' of kids. The geeks, popular, etc. And last but not least, my parents. We don't even know where they are most the time since they go on business trips after business trips. They come for for a week at the most and leave again. My family is not rich, but not poor. Now, in Post-WWII Germany, the Allies have brought relief. Life is just beginning to come out of hiding, ready to blossom and flourish as it once did before. No one no longer cowers in fear. But something stirs in Russia: Communism. How will a Jew and innocent German girl make it safely in this ever-changing world that is right out their door? NOTE: This is after The Book Thief story (sequel if you will), so there are some spoilers if you haven't seen/read anything about it. However, if you don't care about the movie/book/spoilers, then it still makes for an eye opening, post-WWII fan fiction. Emmeline doesn't know what to do at one point and decides to end it all but doesn't succeed. The people who care for her try and help her find herself again but it can only be done if she wants it to happen.

What happens when a mother and father get a divorce leaving their seven children heart broken and seperated from one another. When the father receives full custody of the 5 of them after not willing to fight for the 2 youngest which the judge thought it would be a "fair" choice. Now 10 years laters the two youngest have been now taken away from their neglectful mother by the social services to be put back with their older brothers.
