I've never really thought about what being in love was like. I guess it's when you do what's best for said person, even if it'll hurt them in the moment. I didn't think I was in love when I was twelve, after all, who knows at that age? But I was in love, I was in love with the boy who liked to ride his bike to my house every morning just to ride to school with me. I was in love with the boy who bought me chocolate on Valentine's Day when nobody else got me anything. I was in love with the boy who killed his sister by suffocating her at one of our sleepovers. I was in love with the boy who I called the cops on and got sent to juvie for up to 15 years. I was in love with the boy who was coming back, and I was in love with the boy who doesn't forget.
