Yet the natives on the cold, forested planet come with their own set of problems - among themselves and their visitors. To ease the strain in the relations and seeing that he is cornered, Ta’em Tsan’ten offers a chance for the humans to research The People. Yet in doing so he unknowingly begins to bring about the unravelling of his tribe, and his reign.
