Alice Victoria Jones is a Slytherin at Hogwarts. She returns for her 4th year assuming it will be like always, hanging with her best friends, avoiding her annoying Hufflepuff sister, and excelling in Potions.
Then a series of attacks happen, all when Alice is there. She's saved by a Hufflepuff (how embarrassing!), can't help crushing on Gryffindor Demitrius Fray, and being followed by a Ravenclaw third year named Myra Wolfgang, who seems to know something she doesn't. The attacks get worse and worse. Anyone who's by Alice seems to be in danger. She doesn't know who to trust and where to turn.
