Angel West, a senior in high school, is exactly what her name implies, an angel. She is 'The Most Popular', cheerleader captain, and top pick for prom queen. All while having extraordinary grades and being in advanced classes. Boys stop and stare at her in the hall when she walks past and all girls whisper about how much they envy her looks or her hair. She is the girl every female entering high school aspires to be. But, as people say, looks can be deceiving. See Angel, in every ones point of view, has every thing anyone could every hope for. The beauty and the brains. No one understands what she truly wants, but can not have. Some one to love her, to think she is beautiful not only on the outside. But, to Angel, this wish is merely a daydream.

Sèbastien Debrè, a new foreign student from France, has moved more times than he could count on both his hands but never to a different country. America, Land of the Free and Home of the Brave. Or so they say. His entire family, containing his mother, father, and twelve year old sister, has spent a year and a half attempting to learn as much English as they could. Although his family says that this is his chance to be reborn, make friend, and socialize. Sèbastien knows that it will be the same 'awkward glances' and 'judging whispers'. He knows that within a week he would most likely become a new punching bag for the high school jocks because of his oversized and 'nerdy' glasses, accent, and above average IQ.
