Alexia's world has been turned upside down. Her father was killed and she finds herself living with orphaned teenage boys, also known as Newsies. And after being attacked by one of the Newsies' sworn enemies, she is saved by a mysterious blue eyed boy. She later finds out that it is none other than Spot Conlon, the King of Brooklyn. His reputation precedes him, but she ignores all of the warnings and stories. Will she fall for him? Or is his heart to cold to love at all?

Racetrack Higgins was a normal Manhattan Newsie- more or less. He was Gay, but so were all of his brothers. He was Jack's Second in Command and had a rough past. Said Italian blonde boy was actually a half Brooklyn, half Manhattan Newsie, as he sold in Brooklyn. Sure, Spot scared him sometimes, but not a lot. They were very different. Spot had brown hair, Race had dirty blonde. Race had been to the Refuge, Spot hadn't. Spot had brown eyes, Race had bright blue eyes. Race was strong, but easily outnumbered, Spot was strong, but wasn't easily outnumbered.
