(Okay I found out recently that Grell has officially been labelled as a transgender woman in the manga series, and I want to regard the fact that this was written before that was announced. I respect and love Grell dearly, and would never want to offend her or fans of her. Please note that this was in the time where the anime had represented her as a man instead, and that is why there was male pronouns in this story. Thank you all so much).

Renata wants nothing more than to pay her bills through her mildly boring office job and figure out whether she is still in love with her best friend. She didn't dare nod against the blade. He noticed and amusement lit up for just a second in those devilish eyes. Oh, whoever the fuck this was, she already hated him.
