In Moving Backwards, an old woman, or young girl, depends on your point of view, goes through life.
           Her life will be hard for you to understand. Yes I understand how cliche that sounds but really, you won't understand.  
              Anehta (Athena in your earthly language) was just hatched. But she feels different than the rest. Very different. 
               She will have to go through life by herself. Since she just hatched, her mother had died. Her father you may ask? The mom had eaten him when she was first expecting. But that's what happens here. It's what always has happened here. 
            Can you imagine...?  A world where every social norm to you, is unacceptable to us? Can you even dream of it?
