Ashton Irwin thought he had graduated high school before joining the band 5 Seconds of Summer. Until his old school in Australia calls, saying there was a mistake, and he didn't meet all the requirements to officially graduate. He's missing an entire exam and grade, so he's faced with a choice: head back to his hometown, and repeat that Year 12 course, or take a remedial semester near Los Angeles, and pray he'll pass that exam.

Luke's younger sister, Bea, has attended a boarding school in a sunny city in Southern California nearly all her years of school. She's ready to get her high school diploma, leave, and start to travel. But when Luke calls with a little favour he wants her to carry out, her plans are put on hold, all because of a cocky boy with messy hair and a set of drumsticks.
