If you take a quick glance at 16 year old Amanda Atlin, the last thing you would think is that she's a basketball player. Maybe that's because her mother took everything basketball related out of her life when Amanda's NBA star father dies. Amanda used to love her mom more than anyone, but now she is sick and tired of her attitude. All of Amanda's friends at school ditching her, she only has one friend left; Tyson. Amanda decides to Run Away to L.A. with Tyson, thinking to start fresh and maybe go to an NCAA school. But there are a lot more bumps in the road than she counted for, and getting a reputation for Basketball in L.A. is even harder than dealing with her father's death. Will Amanda realize that running away from reality doesn't actually make it disappear?
