Two girls, two schools, and one change. Evelina Blue is the new girl at her school. She has just moved to Jackson, Mississippi to find out blacks are treated different in Mississippi then in California. Evelina feels compelled to give blacks their rights too. Let them go to the same schools as whites. This is something Aaralyn Black has only ever dreamed of. Where blacks are treated no differently then whites. Together these girls change the schools of Jackson, Mississippi forever.
