Afterlife

He had a list, he knew who was next, and he had a plan on how to excruciate us. It felt like the plot of a scary movie, but we knew this wasn’t Hollywood. This was the last of us. It haunted us until we died. I didn’t discover the conjuration of the antique until it was too late to escape from him. Just imagine living in terror, seeing a bloody massacre happen very close to you. What would happen next? WHO IS GOING TO DIE NEXT? How are we going to die? It was everything we could think of. He was on a killing spree and he was just starting.  

           It was a beautiful Sunday, the first week of spring to be exact. When I was coming home from NYU I came across a garage sale. I saw this eye-catching, unique vintage urn that would look spectacular in my campus’ bookcase. I was excited to show it to Eren; I knew he was into creepy, vintage stuff, so this was perfect for him. I did a mistake on not checking the content of it. And this mistake caused us our lives.
