17 year old Storm Jewel has been abused by her father ever since her mother died when she was 10. But even then, her father wasn't that fond of her. When she was 16, she got out during a storm that blew out the power. It was about 3:00 am. She finally got to civilization but only the rapists and killers are out at that time. Some guy found her in an ally and started attacking her. The only thing she could do was pick up a blade of glass and start stabbing him. She was mortified at what she'd done and went back to her father, believing he did the right thing in abusing her and keeping her hostage in the basement. But about 3 days after that night, a horrible pain overcame her. She found out she had the wolf gene in her system. What happens when Klaus and Elijha Mikaelson find and save her.

Beth white doesn't get treated fairly in her pack house, yes she's were wolf but when she turns 17 and gets the chance to find her mate and actually be happy. He rejects her, and she doesn't take it lightly. She runs off to find a new family and a second chance - "Mate." I mutter under my breath "No! no! no!" he complains "Why did I get you as a mate! your nothing but a helpless slave girl." he spits at me "No. You don't know who I am." I tell him "Yes I do your a slave." he bends down to me and crosses his arms "Yeah, sure I may be a slave. but I'm still a living, breathing, human being, I know that may be a surprise to you. but hey you have to live with it for the rest of your life." They have their ups and downs but nothing is compared to what they have in stored, the new roller coaster they must ride to have a happily ever after, if you can call it that. I know the book starts slow, that's how I wanted it to be, to build to the exciting parts. It may be a drag, I know but it'll be worth it when the book speeds up with the roller coaster that Harmony has to ride, so to speak. Give it time and it'll spike your interest.
