Has there ever been a time in your life when you feel like you know you can go on? A time in your life when something has finally hit you in the head and made you realize that there are people so less fortunate then you? I have and it saved me from myself. I had never been so hopeful until I met a small boy named Jonathan, he had cancer. He was my best friend’s brother, and he was an amazing kid, so playful and full of energy and life, only knowing that he would die any time. I spent so much time with him since my friend was working all the time. Once he died it woke me up. I realized that I sit around moping about my life. It yelled at me and told me to get up and get over it. So I signed up at a children’s hospital, not expecting it to change my life in a way I never thought possible, this life that annoyed me so much, my life as I knew it.
