Kaoru has been troubled for some time now, his feelings for his older brother are getting to difficult to hide. But with Hikaru liking Haruhi he's not sure rather to support him or tell him how he feels.
It's very terrifying for him because even though they knew each other like the back of their hands Kaoru wasn't sure what type of reaction Hikaru would have towards his love for him...this love that is beyond brotherly.
