It seems like every vampire ever heard tell of is smooth, stealthy, and as old as the earth itself. 

I'm not one of them. I'm a newbie, and let me tell you, it sucks.

See what I did there? 

I, Matt Fisher, was turned a year ago when I was eighteen. There was nothing sexy or desirable about it, just one scrawny boy getting jumped in a dark alleyway. This is my story. It's one of fear, desperation, and unlikely friends. 

This is what happens when you have no one to turn to save one sarcastic teenage hunter while on the run from your own kind.
