"No! Piper don't go! Don't let them take you away from me! Don't go sissy don't go!" my little sister cried as the guards from the gate dragged her away. I felt no sadness, no pain, no love, "don't take her away from me! No! NO!" The little girl whom was hugging my legs just seconds ago was now a new formed stranger in my life, she would never remember me when I returned. I could hear screaming and crying as the gates came to a close.
"Piper," a deep voice greeted my ears, "you have broken the rules of the halflings by loving the same sex. Are you ready to be sent to earth to help 10 human beings fulfill their destiny to be able to return to the place you call home?" I know what your thinking. This is terrible. How am I not crying yet? Why aren't I begging for forgiveness yet? Whats wrong with me? To answer all of those questions, I am becoming a darkling. That's right, no more loving Piper left, the old me is being erased, and the only way to get her back is to complete my quest and help 10 humans down on earth.
As my one and only ruler was changing me into this ugly darkling creature, a smile creeped across my face as my wings were forcefully fanned out, turning a deadly black. All of my beautiful features were enhanced and black began swimming in my eyes. They make it so you never want to come back to this wonderful peaceful heaven, so that you may never fulfill your task at hand, and so you die out of loneliness. Oh, but not I, oh no, I was coming back for what is rightfully mine; Alice and the throne.

I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive.
