Ryder Ford hasn't been normal since he was eighteen years old. It was then that he became an orphan and a creature of the night. He has the ability to see the darkness in people but also the urge to kill them afterwards.

Tired of living in his home town, Ryder packs up his bags and moves to Heaven Crest. What will happen when he meets a girl whose darkness seems nonexistent? With the emergence of a new evil, Ryder will have to fight like he never has before. But the question remains, will the darkness eventually consume him?
