I open my eyes gasping for breath that wouldn't come. The pain is unbearable, a searing, throbbing, stabbing sensation all at once. The faces of my friends hover over me, their eyes full of fear and worry. There is a war inside me, one my body seems to be losing. The microbe will kill me. I have no chance.
