This is a re-write of my first short story. I had read it again a while back and realized that it could be so much better. While some of the elements of the story stayed the same, there are many improvements/updates that were made. Inspired by the Fossil Fighters trilogy of games for the Nintendo DS, the story follows a teenage velociraptor named Sora as he deals with a newcomer that his humans bring to the house. Once, the park had been his dream destination. Now, he barely cared. He hadn't planned on going at all, not until a friend finally called him out on the way he'd been treating the people who loved him, especially the dad who still tried so hard to reach him. He expected a simple, boring week-long camp. Instead, the island erupts into chaos. Fences fail, a monster escapes, and he finds himself dodging death at every turn as Jurassic World collapses around him.
