"People just look past me. I couldn't tell you how many people I've walked up to and they had no recognition in their face that there was anyone standing in front of them talking to them. I was always invisible- until I met you."

Seventeen year old Desirae is not- I repeat, is NOT a player, or a "baddie". She has a $50 Wal-Mart phone and $5 sneakers for goodness' sakes! She considered herself to be a very average teenage girl.
Nice friends, minimal problems with mean girls, and was honestly proud of her 2.6 GPA.
Up until the night Valerie decided to have a wild party. That was the start.
By the end of the week she had not 1 bad boy and nerd like the stereotypically clichés we have all read, but FIVE new boy "friend" situations on her hand.

Desirae does not see a need for her to tell any of these boys that she is uninterested, because its not like any of them are serious, just "talking". Plus, if she COULD get douchebag Carmen off her hands, she would.
