"Can we be friends?"

"Friends? You took away that chance when you decided to hook up with Lexi." I said looking away.

"Please?" He said his eyes pleading.

"I don't think I can be friends again. How can you expect me to trust you again?" I said my voice slightly breaking.

He stared at me. Different emotions swirling in his eyes.

"Go. Please go!" I said tearing my gaze away from him.

Avery wrapped an arm around my waist to catch me before I could get out the door. He pushed me up against the door, trapping me between his body and the door. "What's wrong?" I asked innocently. His face hovered over mine, much closer than I was used to. His gaze didn't leave mine as he spoke. "It would have been different if I had told him from the start. You wanted me to lie for you. You started this. If we tell him what really happened, he would be pissed at me for lying to him." "Stormie, you got a phone call!" Mason yelled up the stairs. The closeness between Avery and me started to make my legs feel like Jell-O, and I couldn't make sense of it. Our breathing became heavier. His eyes trapped mine. "Answer him," Avery murmured. "Uh," I stammered. I cleared my throat. "Be down in a minute!" My voice came out higher than usual. My gaze still couldn't escape Avery's. My heart raced wildly as his chest rose and fell against mine. Avery's gaze flickered to my lips. What's happening? My gaze fell to his mouth, which was moving closer to mine. Preview: "I'm sorry," I told her. Please say it's fine.. "You're sorry?!" she shrieked. Okay, maybe not. I sighed, "Yes, it was wrong!" "Wrong? You totally cheated on me!" she yelled. "I know...I feel horrible about it, trust me." What happened next is still confusing me to this day. She lunged at me, wrapping her arms around my neck and pulled my mouth to hers. Our lips met in a fiery passion I didn't know we contained. When we did pull back, I asked, "Am I forgiven?" "No. You promised me forever." I opened my mouth to speak only to be interrupted. "No, I did," Aria gasped turning toward the man who was gonna take her and everything away from me by telling the truth.
