‹‹Once upon a time, there was a special child who never aged. To protect it from harm, I hid it within myself, until one day I forgot it was there.›› Adele and Nina, two inseparable sisters, once believed their family was an unbreakable fortress - a safe place where happiness felt eternal. But in a heartbeat, that safety shatters, and their world is forever changed. Their father, their stedfast anchor, has disappeared without a word. The man who once loved them has moved on, leaving them behind. What they don't know is that their world has been turned upside down, and the reality they know is built on lies. For years, they will navigate life under this shadow, viewing their existence through a lens distorted by someone else's deceit, bearing the immense pain of betrayal. But breaking free from this fictitious world isn't easy, for it demands confronting an even harsher truth: the person behind the deception is the one they hold most dear. "Hope is a Gentle Flicker" is a story that explores the fragile dynamics of blended families, the weight of unspoken emotions, and the ways love can become entangled in misunderstandings and hurt. But maybe, amidst the darkness, there may still exist a light - a delicate, flickering light that refuses to be extinguished. A love that, though unspoken, persists, quietly illuminating their path. *** This book is a memoir based on real events from my life. Thank you for joining me on this journey.

This is the story of six orphans - a woman and five men who have lived together like a family for a long time. Even though they are not related by blood, yet they always have that strong bond with each other. Then one day it happens. The woman dies, shattering the peace and harmony of their house. Not long after, they come across a mysterious yet intriguing stranger who may want to help them. But, are they really trustworthy? Only time will tell. Excerpt : She didn't mount on the bike. Instead, she stood there holding the helmet, "My mother had warned me about strangers." I looked at her in confusion, "Okay so?" "So what's your name?" She asked as if a stranger won't be able to say a fake name at all. Smart little kid. "Levi." She nodded, "Levi, hmm." "Now, can we get going, stranger kid?" "Okay," She said and got on my bike. It seemed like she didn't hear what I had called her. I started the bike and rode off. "Wait, wait, did you call me a kid again?" I chuckled, "Took you long enough."
