"He was everything she wanted, she just didn't know it. She was his light throughout the dark, but her flame was out. He was her secret. One that was never meant to get out. She was his past that he just wanted to forget. But couldn't." I finished, looking at Rush. He glared at me, before looking down at his desk. "And then, they were nothing. Because nothing doesn't matter. And nothing was easier to forget." |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| December Anderson is just beginning her senior year at Rosebush High and so far it wasn't going so good. Rush Carter has just returned to Rosebush High for his senior year and so far he couldn't be happier. What happens when these bump into each other? Literally. What happens when they're forced to spend some time together? Anything can happen, right? (A/N: This is a short story. If you want a long story this is not it. But if you're interested you can check out my other stories. But if you want to read a short story, this is it.)

As I walk into the school, he spots me and immediately starts talking to me. I brush past him, ignoring him, but today is definitely not my lucky day... He grabs my arm firmly, stopping me, and turns me to face him. The pain on my face contorts his expression. "What's wrong, Emma? Lost your voice, lizard?" I don't look at him; my head is hung low once again. "When I'm talking, you need to look at me!" he shouts, lifting my chin so I have to meet his gaze. I look at him, but it's not with innocence; it's with anger. "Oh, look, Emma's angry, everyone!" he mocks. "Just leave me alone," I say, meeting his eyes as I pull my arm free from his grip and walk away. He stares at me, shocked, as do all the kids around us, not expecting what I just did.
