Her father attacked them to avenge her, which only led to his inevitable capture and sentence to Azkaban Prison. Ariana Dumbledore, the youngest of the Dumbledore children, was never the same again, and all her family could do, was sit and watch her sanity crumble away as she grew up in a torn and broken family.
