Meadow Rose Moon has always been different from the other girls in her school, she's beyond beautiful, but she rather take refuge in her work. Meadow is very mellow and shy, and that is what prohibits her from being cool. However, she's fine with that.

Meadow has always had an eye for one person, and that person is none other than River Phoenix. The popular, sweet, gentle and the most beautiful person at school. But, River doesn't seem to care about popularity, the popular people seem to flock to him, he talks to people who wouldn't be deemed "cool" at Hershel High and one of those people is Meadow. He's always had a smile ready for Meadow and has never failed to make her laugh.

River and Meadow go way back since they were in diapers. Their families are very close, and they share the same free spirit vibe. Their parents were best friends, they were on the road a lot and even participated in Woodstock together. So, naturally River became a family friend and so has the rest of the Phoenix's.

Since, high school River and Meadow don't get to see a lot of each other, that's due to the fact that everyone wants River's attention, and he's always getting interrupted. But, that all changes when the Phoenix's and Moon's go on a cruise together.
