Being bullied in school for being quiet isn't the worst thing that could happen to you. When depression pairs with a drugged up father and a hateful mother, Shiloh feels there is only one way out. She begins writing a journal to whoever cares about her life. 24 hours is all she gives herself to live and write, but when a boy from another town writes a nice message, she feels maybe 24 hours is too much. Maybe someone actually cares. Will she learn to love herself and give herself a bit more time or will she be gone before the whole 24 hours is up?
