Someday - A Short Story
Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. But little did I know that today was the day that my life would change. It was the day I met her. ---------- A short story. Hey guys! This is my first try writing a pure romance story. CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy. Just a book of random one-shots. Some of them are good, most of them are bad. Read at your own discretion, and enjoy! DISCLAIMER: Requests and suggestions have been discontinued on this book! Please go to my second one-shot book to request whatever you'd like! NOTE: Point of view is in the second person unless otherwise stated. And, I like to keep things different around here. You won't always be the lover. Heck, you won't even be the friend at some points. You could straight up be the bad guy in the story. But it'll be fun, I promise. Not all of them are like that. I just write in a darker or more emotional tone when I feel like it. However, if you always like being the girl/boyfriend or the heartbroken lover (which I have nothing against), then this might not be the book for you. There are TONS of other, better one-shot books than mine, and I highly suggest you check them out as well! I find myself in the habit of rearranging the one-shots based off of the part (ex. part one, part two, etc.) so there might be a bit of confusion as to where my parts appear in the book. There are a few reader inserts, for example, there's a one-shot in here that inserts the reader into Matthias' video for Google IRL, but there's only a few of them like that, so it's there if you like that stuff, and there isn't too much of it for people who find it distasteful. Side note, I try to keep this as gender ambiguous as possible. Not all of them will be completely ungendered (if it isn't, it will most likely be female unless someone specifically requested a male reader), but I try to as much as possible. Hopefully, you can forgive me for that. And finally, no smut/lemons. I hope you understand, as I'm not quite comfortable writing that sort of thing. The closest that will get to will be some cuddling and light kissing.
