Shawn Tallman is a young writer looking for his big break. During an internet search, he stumbles upon a promising website, one that is currently holding a horror movie screenplay competition. The winner gets their screenplay turned into a movie and even earns money every time it's watched. Shawn and his girlfriend Emily watch the previous winners film and are amazed by the quality and amount of money the film has generated. Inspired Shawn begins to work on a screenplay of his own, while Emily finds herself unexpectedly disturbed by the film they just watched together. Something isn't right.
