Pearl the Charmander has no memories of her past, but has some working theories to who she is. First, she suspects she was a human. Second, she had to find a Grovyle or Treecko who might know who she is. 

She meets a Pikachu, named Pika, who decides to help her find her past and convinces her to join the local exploration guild, thinking that might help her find something or some Pokémon that can jog her memory.

But, amidst the ventures the duo and their other two members of their team face, strange things start happening to Pearl. She can see through time, though unwillingly and without much control.

When time starts to stop, and Pokémon come back from the future for different agendas, Pearl learns her history... and has to decide if she is going to follow through what her past self had promised, or let survival take precedence.

The World of Darkness [Complete] by Charizard_100

While helping good old Bill with a new experiment, Crystal--who is now known as Pearl--sent herself into a different dimension that is inhabited by Pokémon. The thing is, the time she enters is due to accident that she doesn't realize, and also one of complete darkness. She meets a Treecko and Celebi who have talked about changing the dark fate of their world, and she helps set their plan in motion. Before action, however, they have much work to do. They explained the Time Gears to Pearl, and those were what needed to be found to prevent the paralysis of the world. They also trained in combat, history, and ancient languages. In the midst of it all, Treecko evolves, and Pearl reveals the possibility of this future becoming non-existant, along with the rest of the Pokémon. Still, they continue their journey to save the world from darkness and enter the past, as Temporal Tower starts its collapse. This is set before the story of PMD: Explorers of Sky. This is my story plot, and Crystal/Pearl is my Trainer OC. I have a previous book that I recommend, but it doesn't add much to this story or the next. The Betrayed Chronicles Arc 1: Betrayal and The Orange Islands [Discontinued] by Galaxydragon101

Ash has just lost in the Indigo League, due to his Charizard's disobedience. As he and Pikachu are thinking things over by a lake, they are sure in for a nasty surprise. Betrayal. That's what, out of all possible scenarios, Ash never imagined that his own friends and family would betray and even try and kill him. Now though, Ash must rise above this and prove the traitors wrong, starting with redemption. He heads over to the Orange Islands for sanctuary and to start a new journey, a new start was just what he needed, with new friends, new Pokemon, and mysteries surrounding the Pokemon world. But at the end of it all, the true adventure has only just begun... Warning: Foul Language, minor Adult topics, mentions of blood and gore. Not recommended for young children. We must focus on guiding the Magic; not controlling it. For it is through controlling it we allow it to control ourselves. Time between dimensions is in a constant state of flux. There is no way of saying how many years have passed, nor how many will. However, the saying remains the same: "Yesterday was history, Tomorrow is a mystery, But today is a gift. That is why it is called the present." =+=+=+= This is another Hermitcraft fanfiction, set in a season eight/nine AU (Evolution-EmpiresS1-HCS8-HCS9-Watcher AU). I don't own any of the characters; they belong to the Hermits as their Minecraft Personas. This book also sporadically features Evolution and Empires SMP characters. Pearl is the main character, but there are a few backstories followed as well. The first part of the chapter will always be Pearl, and the second a backstory (with a few exceptions when the chapter gets extra-long). Answer the chapter questions if you feel like it, even if you live in the mysterious future. I don't ship. I'm not certain about the hermit preferences, so I'd prefer to leave that to them and portray all of them as amazing friends (which they are). =+=+=+= There will be angst to satisfy your hunger. Enjoy, fellow angst-thirsty hermittpadders. If you're a hermit from Hermitcraft, an emperor from Empires, a former Evolutionist, or involved in some central way to this story reading this and you dislike the content, I am more than happy to edit or take the story down entirely. Still in shock, Ash and his friends beat Team Breaker and try to find any traces of where N went, but with no luck. Flame is a mysterious stranger who happened to come out of nowhere, but the two felt instantly comfortable in front of one another as soon as they met. There was a connection they couldn't understand, and Flame was determined to keep her away from harm, but at a distance. Secrets will be revealed and memories will be remembered. There are important key elements to discovering a new meaning to what happened to them in their childhood. This involves having to get involved with an evil organization that wants to destroy the world. Happiness will have to wait, since there is willpower that needs to be awaken. What if the sun shined again? What if the wind blew again? What if they could create a brighter future for those in the past? With the help of a wounded Duskull, his adoptive mother Espeon and his fellow family members of a timid Froakie, a Braixen cursed into silence, a former outlaw Midnight Lycanroc & a mask wearing Zoroark, he looks to seek out the mythical "Celebi", who may provide a route to make his dream a reality. But of course, the dark forces will seek to snuff out any potential light at the end of the tunnel. Dialga, now gone primal, seeks his own self preservation, even if it includes commanding a Pokémon suffering through grief to do his bidding. Learn of the story of the Pokémon of the future, of the Treecko who would partner with a human to change history, of how friends would turn into enemies and how things played out from their perspective. The plot of this fic is loosely based on the ROM Hack "Special Episode 0: In A Dark Past", with changes to the tone being somewhat less dark and alternative characters in different roles.
