MAGIC SPAWN. Urban fantasy.
When a boy becomes a tool for an evil mage, his brother must fight them both.

A ten year old boy stumbles into a cemetery crypt to waken an ancient magic on Halloween night. The small town must defend themselves from the undead horrors brought upon them by a dark mage from another plane of existence. Then they learn a terrible secret--the boy is not of this world! He is a magic-spawn! If the necromancer captures him, then the results will be catastrophic for both their worlds.

This work is an editing draft, so please give me feedback as to the details and pacing of the story. This will be appreciated!

A gypsy boy trying simply trying to survive in a harsh world. But his mother's unknown sickness grows worse with each day and so he must do what he has to in order to earn enough money to find her help This was my main WIP up until a few months ago. I used to spend a lot of time on it but I eventually just lost faith in its potential and moved onto the WIP I'm working on now, which, in my opinion, is a lot better. I don't know if I died or not, but the moment I regained my consciousness, I was already standing on a field full of grass and surrounded by trees. "W-what is that...?" A screen was floating in front of me. 「 Welcome, new adventurer! 」 "Adventur...rer?" But..... I'm so small! My body is the size of a 9 year old kid! And I don't even know what the hell happened to me. After I read some information on the screen, I was amazed that the world I was in was like a VRMMORPG. Magic exists and so does the level. "Huh?" Amanda picked up a book as a child. That book told stories of a magical sport called Quidditch. For years it had been a fictional story, one she had enjoyed very much. That is until she finds a ticket to a Quidditch game. Despite all of her doubts she heads out, together with two of her friends, to find the location of the game. Coping with the existence of magic is easy, until she meets witches and wizards. It's hard to grasp everything, and at the same time hiding who she is. They can't know about her being a normal muggle. But when a new darkness is rising, the only safe place is at a school for magical beings. Amanda has to move there when she becomes the target of this new evil. But how well could a muggle survive in a school for magic?

When Ryan finds out about a school that no one's ever heard of, he knows that school is somehow the key to finding his parents. But when he finally makes it through the wolf forest to get there, nothing goes as planned. Because there is a reason Ryan grew up separated from his family and the life he should've known. And a reason why it might've been for the best if he'd never found his way back home again. There is already someone expecting his arrival, someones who's ready to risk it all for revenge, and when Ryan wakes up ater being attacked, he's not entirely himself anymore. And whatever has become of him, it's clear that he's now a threat to everyone around him. Turns out Ryans parents are the leaders of a pack of werewolves, deadset on keeping the school and their whole society hidden from humans, and protected from vampires. In this new world, where everyone has a different motive to want him gone, Ryan has to fight for his right to stay with the werewolves and stay in control of his own self, otherwise he'll never see his parents again, and he might just be what causes the destruction of the whole werewolf pack for good. ***** I would say this story is fine for ages 14 and up. This story is finished, but in Swedish ;) It's around 110k words and I have now finished translating it into English! I have currently uploaded more than half of the book (I'd say the midpoint is around chapter 44), and the whole thing will be uploaded probably before August. This story takes place in northern England, and I am obviously not English! So if you are from England, and have some feedback for me regarding use of words and such, please let me know, I greatly appreciate it.

Writing this for a contest: (prompt 44) In the middle of a storm, a stranger arrives at her cabin, and she offers them shelter. But the storm's forecast said they'll be stuck for much longer than expected. *************** She was a squib, and she lived in the middle of the woods away from society. Her parents were purebloods, but they passed away from Dragon Pox, leaving the girl alone. She was raised away from society because her parents wanted to keep her safe from the wizarding world. Her parents raised her without magic, or if they did use magic, it was when she wasn't around or wasn't paying attention. She was oblivious to magic, because she had never seen it before. So, when a stranger arrives at her cabin in the middle of a wild storm, she was hesitant, because she had never been around anyone but her own parents before. When the forecast came through that the storm made it impossible for everyone to leave their homes, she realized she was stuck with the stranger longer than she anticipated. The stranger had an almost threatening aura around him, and that scared her slightly, but she couldn't help but feel intrigued by him. What she didn't know, was in the wizarding world, there was a special thing called soul mates. This stranger had arrived by accident, but there was reason. He had been trying to get away from the evil of his father, and went in search of his soul mate, but the storm slowed him down, unknowingly bringing him right to his soul mate's front door...
