Five-year-old Maria de Cagney may seem like an ordinary young lady from English high society. But she is much more than that. Her grandfather, Morgan de Cagney, was a pirate captain. Maria wants to follow in his footsteps. Her wish comes true when, after a shipwreck in which her parents were killed, Maria ends up on Tortuga. Thirteen years later, Maria meets captain Oscar Bard, who gives her a map of the treasure that her late grandfather stole from captain Flint. Now Maria needs to gather the crew and go get the treasure. This is the first book from the "The Adventures of captain Maria" series.
