I emerge from the water, my hands shaking violently. That man just tried to kill me! I gasp for air, while the cold air just made breathing harder. Then, without realizing it, I frantically searched for my necklace. The man yanked my necklace off before he held me in the water. I found my necklace in a goopy mixture of bog water and bugs. I used my shirt to dry it off, then tied it around my neck again. If I lost this necklace, my hope for finding my Fated would disappear. I couldn't lose this thing ever again.

"Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes.
