He pinned her gently yet firmly against the wall, his voice unnervingly calm, but every word carried an edge of danger.
"ARE you going to tell me or not?"
She remained silent, her eyes locked on his, unblinking. She didn't struggle, didn't flinch.
"Why do you care, huh?" she asked, her voice steady, though a tiny tremor betrayed her.
Suddenly, his fist slammed against the wall beside her. The sound reverberated through the empty street, mingling with the pounding rain.
"Just... tell me! Who made you cry, damn it!"
Her heart should have raced with fear. She should have trembled. But she didn't. Not exactly.
Instead, shock froze her in place-shock not at his anger, but at the truth behind it.
