Flip to the other side of the coin, and we see that Oliver has been born and raised with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was born in the illustrious family of the Queen's, and he grew up with his best friends, Tommy Merlyn and Laurel Lance. Oliver had a little sister named Thea when he was 6, Oliver is 15 when Barry's mother is murdered. 2 years later, Oliver decides to go with his father Robert Queen on a business trip to China. They set out on the Quen family yacht, the Queens Gambit. Through a work of fate, Oliver and Barry end up on Lian Yu together, 5 years ahead of schedule for when Oliver was supposed to end up on the island.
