It's high school, and Dan has always been home schooled. When he gets to his new school as a freshman, he is instantly pushed aside as an outcast.
The whole reason he was put into public school was his parents were moving away to live with his grandfather who was sick.
So, he was to live with his dad's friend who also had a son his age. 
Phil was also an outcast, but he got along alright in school. Having to live with Phil and Phil's dad who was gone half the time, Dan and Phil get to know each other quite well. 
They soon bond over many things and Dan realizes he has feelings for Phil. But will Phil feel the same way? Will it work out? Or will Dan find someone else through the ups and downs?

It all started with that kiss, that moment and that passion when Dan became lost and Phil was clueless but both in love. This is my first fanfic I ever attempted writing so I'm sorry it sucks Dan has a bad life and is constantly looking for the positive and usually comes up short... Until Phil. Dan is believed to be a grumpy badass by most. There is some truth to that. But, under the surface he is a sweet and happy guy. Phil has a happy life but can never seem to find true happiness... Until Dan. Phil uses the illusion of happiness to hide the true darkness within him. When the two have a chance encounter, their lives change forever. Phil colors Dan's world in ways he never thought possible. And Phil realized that maybe he didn't need to hide. Triggers: attempted suicide, depression, and boyxboy (is that a trigger?)
