Kat and I tend to set each other writing challenges to get in the mood. The inspo can be a theme, a song, a form - you name it. These things usually end up being pretty short and we don't spend more than a night on them. It'd be cool to get feedback on where exactly we excel and where we don't so we can be better writers. That's where you come in. Commenting on what you liked, didn't, what could be changed, and what should be completely scrapped would help us so much.
PS - if you've got a good idea, feel free to give us inspo too

"Take the small one, she isn't human." Another officer came over and started to take her from my arms. She let go in shock but I grabbed her arm and I tugged back but I didn't want to hurt her. "No!" I yelled ...................... "Katerina!" She yelled "Anna!" I screamed I screamed her name as I woke up covered in sweat, I was panting and out of breath. I sat up and looked all around me. My room was dark and all that was on was my radio. I had this dream almost every night since I was taken away from Anna. This dream was real, it did happen. This is not to humble-brag, but I've been critiquing and have worked with story development for quite some time, and I've picked up a lot along the way. ☙ - As an Ambassador, I work on content projects. ☙ - If you look at my profile, you'll see everything I've published so far has managed to standout in one way or another, whether by leading me to become a Wattpad Star; or by winning a Watty (twice!); or by being picked as a Top 10 in major Wattpad contests (twice!); or being featured. All I'm saying is I'm no slouch. I'm not brilliant either. But I've got some experience around what can catch an agent, editor, or judge's eye, and I'd like to share that with the community. ☙ - In another lifetime, I used to work for HBO in Development and at ICM (the talent agency) in their writers' department which means I understand how professionals quickly gauge whether or not they'll take a closer look at a work and/or make an offer. PROLOGUE: Thanks, I Hate Being Welcomed To The Villain's World. (COMPLETED) ______________________________________ The misadventures of Prefect Kat, the 19-year-old ace lesbian isekai'd into a school full of problematic pretty-boys, armed with only her lack of f*cks and knowledge from years of mental health treatment. Will she survive? Will she ever get home? Will this damn cat ever stop causing problems? How long will it be until she even SEES another woman? Please, she is so gay and so, so lonely. ______________________________________ Writing the events of Twisted Wonderland as if I (or at least a version of myself that would actually progress the story) were the main character. CW: Swears (I swear like a sailor), descriptions of violence (describing in-game events; my style gets pretty prosey.) A lot of artistic license/minor worldbuilding/details/etc. Probably no ships; definitely no selfships or MC/OC+Canon ships or whatever you wanna call it. If there are ships, they're gonna be more subtext than anything else. If I go too OOC with ur faves I'm sorry, I'm doing my best but I'm dumb and mostly just try to get the 'vibes' right for each character; also might comedically exaggerate some traits for Shenanigans purposes sometimes. Grade twelve was supposed to be filled with happiness. And it really was great. Natalie Wild's next door neighbor Ayrton Rider had been arrested for underground illegal MMA fighting. He broke a guy's jaw and a couple of his ribs. He was lucky he got off with three years of prison. Now if he was already a rough tough dude, now imagine three years later. He's officially the bad boy package. Perfect messy hair, six pack, hot body, cute face, strong and now a jail record. Ayrton is back to school and girls are happy about it. He might as well have been a Rock Star with the amount of signatures he was handing out. Girls were fainting and staring. And guys were...well guys weren't too happy about the situation. Leave it to Ayrton make tons of fans and loads of enemies in the same day. Natalie Wild was an artist, or at least the school's artist. All school activity posters and banners were designed by Natalie. School grades and social outings may not be her thing, but art has always been it. Ayrton finds a way of getting into another fight in the third month of school. Now the principle decides make him do some extra curricular activities instead of suspending him for a week. Only thing, the activity was Art Club. Art Club consists of Natalie and only Natalie. That's A LOT during and after school time to be spent with a recently released criminal. The rambling of a writer
[Me, complaining and contradicting all and everything written in every fanfiction created.] No hate, Just me, rambling about different topics in Fanfiction writing. Why? Because we all start somewhere, am I right? The good, the bad, the rightout clichès and the straight up delulu stuff. Note that I probably did most -if not all- of these things myself when writing, so be prepared of your beautiful cringefest and maybe learn a thing or two about writing a plot/story. Side note: Writing is a creative process, so... no shame in making any mistakes! We all have to start from somewhere! Side side note: Most of the things I talk about come either from my personal opinion OR from the things I've learned over the years. I've been writing since age ten and even did a Minor in creative writing whilst studying for my degree. Last side side side note: The fun is to read these chapters and then visit a random story on wattpadd. I guarentee you, you'll either groan in annoyance ance you can see these things or you giggle at how predictable things will get once you know some writer mistakes. It's all fun and it educates all of us! -xXx-
