Draco Malfoy almost murdered Dumbledore. The keyword being almost.
Strange isn't it - the guy who took pride in supporting the Dark Lord, the guy who took every opportunity he got to tell everyone how much he loved tormenting muggles and half-bloods, needed Professor Snape to help him out.
Makes one wonder - what happened? Where did all that pride go? All that anger, all that arrogance?
