Soul of flames

Was it only in fairy tales that the hero lives to see the world that he protected with his life? Why does there have to be so much death and destruction for me? I didn't know that I was apart of something bigger than me, I always was alone since I was eight; and since then everyone is terrified of me. I had to fight for myself and I always protected the people that are in my village. I know what I am and people should be afraid of me because, inside me is an untamed, wild animal and if Aeron were to take control were to take control of that beast, then the town and the whole country would be in danger. What am I you ask? I am a shifter but at a greater cost.
