I promptly shifted my graceless body into an upright sitting position as an uncertain sense of alertness had suddenly stricken me. The indescribable sensation felt foreign and peculiar, yet impossible to ignore. I ponder whether the sudden onset had occurred for the sole purpose of preparing me for the significant events which were merely moments from unfolding...

An omnipotent rush of adrenaline pulsed though my veins as my anticipation accrued, I could feel my heart beating almost painfully as the strong vibrations palpitated through my chest.
