A girl named Ella has been living in a human world for all her life. Everything in cozumel Mexico is normal, she has a normal aunt, a normal school, normal friends. Yet on her 17th birthday her life turns around. Ella Martinez, becomes deadly sick all of the sudden. Too soon she sadly must be taken to a hospital. Except doctors can't figure out what going on. Around that time a guy named Ryan is staying at the hospital, watching over his broken and bruised mother that was just in a terrifying accident. He's quickly walking through the white stained halls ready to pound in the doctors head when he stops. He suddenly feels his chest lose air quickly, stumbling into Ella's cold room. The closer he gets the less pressure there is on his lungs. Will Ryan ignore this painful feeling in his chest and focus on his dying mother? Or will curiosity get the best of him? Will Ella die a harsh death or will she find out the reason for this deadly disease ?
