Of all the things that Sam Winchester anticipated as he fell into the Cage, it certainly wasn’t this. Before Sam fully awoke he could hear the sounds of birds singing, the gentle trilling of starlings calling to each other. He breathed deeply and smelled the unmistakeably sweet scent of clean fresh air and ...wait, was that coffee? **** A semi-claustrophobic story that almost entirely centres around Sam and Lucifer during his time in the Cage. It devolves from a light-hearted opening scene, to torturous mayhem. Will finish with a devastating battle.
