I didn't choose to be king. It kind of came unexpectedly....What am i saying, everything in this godforsaken kingdom happens because everyone does what the heck they want to. Who cares at this point? I do....... I just want things to be normal. I sob internally.

Waking up on the edge of a cliff in an unknown world wasn't part of the plan. Neither was having absolutely no memory of how I got here. But here I am-confused, probably high, and screaming into the void. Because of his stupidity, he tricked people into becoming his apprentice just to make his life easier, but regretted it because he was afraid of being found out about his lie (because he was an ordinary man? who pretended to be a cultivator). You ever wake up in Hell and realize you've somehow become Satan's emotional support human? No? Just me? Cool. So, long story short-some unhinged demon king dragged me into his grand gothic nightmare castle and decided I'm his. Apparently, we're in some epic, fate-written love story. Except I was not given a script, and I'm pretty sure I was supposed to be the main character in a normal life, not whatever this is. The bad news? He's completely obsessed and won't let me leave. The worse news? He's ridiculously hot, which feels unfair. The actual worst news? ...I might be starting to like the chaos.

I made my way to the kitchen as usual and opened the fridge and grabbed a drink. My mom was usually in here,preparing a snack for my brother and I but today she wasn't. To think of it,it was too quiet around here I then proceeded to go upstairs to my room as I know my brother has soccer practise and my dad is at work. I walked upstairs and passed my father's office and I heard some talking I then heard laughing,a woman laughing to be specific "Scott stop!" She laughed once again And i knew that,that was not my mother's voice. My heart broke when I realised my dad didn't actually love my mother. He was a cheater and after this i lost all respect for him. I stood outside the door for a good 10 minutes debating whether I should storm In there or just keep quiet about the whole thing. The laughing and talking went on and I decided it would be best if I walked away. Tears threatened to fall as I went to my bedroom. I actually looked up to my father. He was my superman. He got himself a good job,a beautiful wife,and started a beautiful family...only to find out it was all a lie. Is his wife even his wife? Are we even his children? Imagine, just for a second, let's imagine you end up somehow travelling into your favourite book. Then you started working your magic and you cosy up to the male lead who was supposed to get you killed or you make the demon lord fall in love with you so he can protect you from your imminent death. And woah you got your happy ending. But now let's imagine a completely different scenario where you end up in a book you read like 10 pages of (including the ending). And you find yourself literally dropped into the lap of a psychopathic rival who enjoys just a teeny bit of bloodshed. He's also the guy who killed your favourite character and not to mention you. But then you hold on for a second because you realise you're not dead and he wants to use you as an immortal tool to sharpen his aim. Well that's the story I ended up living in.
