Loganne Talbott is 16 years old and has never seen anything but darkness her whole life, as she has been blind from birth. Her parents had her young and they planned to travel the world together for the rest of their lives, and when they found out their first child was blind, they gave her away. They wanted nothing to do with a child who couldn't travel with them and see the sights of the world. Now living with her Gram, an opportunity comes up as her Aunt Chelle offers to pay for a surgery to cure Loganne's blindness. She went from a small, private town in Pennsylvania to beach front town of Mendocino, California where it's cold year round and plenty of tourists. There she can see the world for the first time in her life, meet one of her old best friends again, and fall in love with a boy she'd never knew could look so handsome. Although being able to see again is amazing for her, it brings some unknown troubles along and reveals the hidden secrets of the town of Mendocino.
