Prince Envy thinks he has been, supposedly, 'blessed' by an animus dragon when he was just an egg. He has the ability to turn 'berserk', a form where he increases his size four times larger than the average dragon... some kind of super-soldier, with other powers that are not common in Pyrrhian dragons.. this HAS to be some kind of animus magic at work. But all goes wrong when he accidentally reveals his abilities, and his power-hungry family attempts to use Envy for their own bidding. Seeing the destruction of his family before him, once Envy escapes the claws of the NightWings, he tries to get the Gem of Tyranny before the seven tribes of Pyrrhia ultimately destroy him and each other for it. First, there was existence. Then, creation. And finally, life. Organisms started to exist and live on the insignificant planet known as Earth in the middle of a galaxy out of the endless void that is space. Two races gained a gift all other creatures don't have: intelligence. Humanity and Dragonkind. Dragonkind was gifted with power and strength, while humanity had dexterity and creativity, always hungry for knowledge. However, when a conflict threatens to destroy the world, dragons become the definition of beasts and humans become nearly helpless to survive the onslaught or become monsters themselves. As the planet closes on its own destruction, a child born of both universes will be either the last light of hope to end the bloodshed once and for all or become its greatest threat to not only Earth, but possibly the whole universe. As two beings run from death itself, their child must survive not just to save Humanity, but all of Dragonkind as well. (Author: This story and others have been living rent-free in my head for a while. My own dark take on the "war, but with dragons" concept, this is the start of an anthology of stories. The dragons have come and gone since the Pliocene epoch when Wooly Mammoths roamed with humans during the ice age. For many of the I and E generation in the Americas and parts of Europe, it was something to avoid being taken by them to their world. But many knew the stories they told, the things they saw and missed, and in this world of social media, the child coming home, reborn as a shifter. For 16-year-old Nathan that was his reality. For 11 years he's not only avoided getting grabbed but helped others avoid a similar fate. But a black dragon was watching him grabbing him only to lay low in the nearby woods, something they did to pick out who'd they take. It did that for 10 years, more than 3 times longer than usual. His actions and the amount of time he had avoided them made him a sort of celebrity in his town in the midwest. But one day that black dragon made its decision, he was to be her hatchling. When they're usually marked the child could turn to protective mode, running from home to prevent drawing attention to other children for the picking, and that's what he did, right to where they last landed. Luck, choice, a possible spell in those claws, whatever you may think doesn't matter. A black dragon never misses its mark. With agility unsurpassed by the other types they're almost impossible to avoid. But these dragons didn't breathe fire, were a threat, nor in any way the size of a 747 max. All they had that was unique from other creatures was a highly evolved brain with the intelligence of a human and a heart of platinum. Note. Some creatures don't belong to me in any way. Dragon is 16 years of age, she is also a dragon shifter. One day she's flying when a net grabs her and sends her plummeting down towards the ground below. She wakes up in a wheat field and two teenage boys are running her way, one with brown hair and amber brown eyes and one older one with black hair and forest green eyes. They examine her wing and realize that its sprained. They take her in and make sure her wing is healed properly. She shifts back and Properly meets The black haired boy, They bond but what happens when Dragon's wing is healed and she has to be free. Will she stay with her new friends or will she be free once more? READ TO FIND OUT! A/N: This story has terrible grammar and incorrect sentencing and updates are slow because of writers block.
