I’m bruised
I’m broken
Yet I walk
I walk in a world that accepts a part of me
Yet rejects the rest
Yet the rest is me
It’s the core of my being
Its
It’s the reason I keep breathing
Because I know despite the trials the worlds put me through I can look back and know that every time I was struck down I gained the power to get up
I began my life on earth with fate stacked against me
I began my life in a culture that was based on trampling ones sister or brother to the ground
I began my life with a race that very name was one of hate
Yet I began my life with a strength no one can take away from me
I began my life with the power of understanding that I made my own destiny
I choose where my life heads because when you begin your life with fate stacked against you pretty quick not to put your trust in something that can easily be taken away
You learn how to reject your position in the chain of life
You learn how to fight back
I’m bruised
I’m broken
Yet I walk
I walk as one stronger than I thought possible
Because I was born
I was born a coloured.

The Tears I learned To Love

9 parts Ongoing

The Tears I Learned to Love is a collection of poems that explores the complex journey of love, loss, and healing. From the fiery passion of first moments to the silence left by absence, this book is about the deep ache of letting go and the quiet strength found in rebuilding. Each poem reflects a moment of heartache, but also of resilience. It's not just a story of heartbreak, it's about learning to embrace the tears that shape us.
