Mottled 2: Bardden's later life

Bardden used to be a farm dog. His house and farm burned down, and his family died in the fire. Now he lives with a new family, nice enough, but they don't understand him. All he has from his old and peaceful life now are memories, and nightmares. When a girl, a cousin of one of the children in his new family, comes to stay, they form an unlikely friendship.
