The Game of the Pawns

A school lock-down is the last thing Mark wants to experience. After almost getting killed along with his brother the previous week, he thought it would all end there, but he was wrong. He comes to learn that in fact these two events are linked. Worse, somebody is governing over them all.

As the city rapidly succumbs to these invaders, Mark gets thrown into a tournament that promises him a better life ahead. Against a backdrop of betrayal, trust, change, and the value of friendship, he must play by their games with his schoolmates in order to survive.
