Your average fairytale has a not so happy beginning a troublesome middle then a happily ever after. Harmony O' Connor lived in her troublesome middle for a long time. She had given up that she would ever get her happily ever after, but that was ok because she realised at a young age of 12 that fairytales were like Santa. A good lie which holds no badness that is told to children so they can see the goodness and happiness in the world. She was no longer a child so Harmony believed she knew the truth, fairytales weren't real.
Then Harmony, a poor girl content with her dull life, met Jace, her complete opposite, and her whole outlook was forced to change.
Put a pessimist and an optimist together and what do you get? Madness. And that was exactly what it was like when Harmony and Jace met. With a clash of sarcastic remarks everyone labeled them a relationship disaster waiting to happen.
Then again fairytales always say opposites attract. But fairytales are a lie right? Maybe not....
